Me again !!!

Had to fill you in on another fabulous day.

So started the day off holding the weekly conference call for the region, it went really well.

Once a week we take half an hour out of the day to discuss all things business.

So my day was set off to Robina. I went ready to start out another day and help our customers find their perfect match.

Whilst on the phone (typical) walking to the store  I noticed a crew walking around the centre wearing One Vision T- Shirts… I though to myself , I’ve seen that logo.. That’s our One Sight crew!

They continued walking past our OPSM store and Ryan is in store with a a bunch of happy children.

So later in the day I start reading through my emails and realise it’s our One Sight Team here to launch the Australian Indigenous program OneVision!  This was launched today at the NRL’s Indigenous All Stars Festival.

The program is all about educating the Indigenous communities about the importance of eye health and improve access to there current services. How cool is this?

So I’m thinking I might go introduce my self  and then Carmen walks in (Carmen is from our One Sight Team and is the glue to this amazing organisation) And introduces her self and says, ‘hey would you guys like to help the kids pick out some sunglasses?’…. We were like YES !!!!!!!!

So we had 12 kids come into the store and pick out a new pair of sunglasses these kids were just gorgeous and were so keen in learning how to look after there new pair of Sunglasses.

It was another great day in Sunglass Hut Land…And amazing to see the phenomenal things our business does.

All the kids gave Carmen and big hug afterwards and it was heart warming.

So HAPPY to see the SUN shining today it was BEAUTIFUL ….and our customers were defs in a frenzy looking for a BRAND new pair of shades to hit the beach with. That’s for sure.

So today was TOPS I got to spend the day with my RSM Melinda.

Today we went through our NEW VM standards for Our Sunglass Hut Stores to ensure all was perfect and that I had a good understanding of the NEW changes and WHY we are changing what we currently have. I must say I’m a little in love with the new VM standards and what’s even better is that I get to coach my team on these new practices!!!!

It’s like redecorating your house..so much fun.

Must tell – We have just received in a New Prada EXCLUSIVE, Prada Milano Shield .

(343315 so have to check them out!)

So one of the staff JUST finished un-packing it..popped it on the shelf….NOT EVEN 2 mins later, SOLD.. CRAZY CRAZY . We all love to sell the EXCLUSIVES but within a few mins is so exciting  …Well done Miss Alix : )

The customer was SO SO SO happy with his new pair of shades!!! <3

After various stop/starts I thought I would be best to introduce myself! My name is Danielle De Lacy Peek and I am the Area Manager for NSW West, Sunglass Hut and Bright Eyes. I have had an amazing 5 – and counting years with Luxottica. My journey started as a casual retail associate in a kiosk not far from the Hunter Valley, from there I had the privilege of stepping into a Store Manager role and then moved on a Manage a Market and then an Area.

12 months ago we made the decision to move to Sydney where I now have the awesome job of leading the West team. Everyday my job gives me an opportunity to change peoples lives and that is a responsibility I have never taken lightly – it’s pretty powerful stuff!! ok ok…and lets not forget the fact that I am also surrounded by some of the most amazing brands in the world (another one of my passions!!)

On a personal note I am married and have 2 of the best boys a mum could ask for!! Harrison is 11 and Cooper just had his 10th birthday – double digits now!!

Well that’s it for me today, the sun might not be shining but there will definitely be sunshine coming from our stores!!

Not sure what to talk about but the store has been a bit quiet and trying to adjust my mind and body out of busy season mode! I will be away next week in Fiji so it will be quiet for a week from here!
