One passion. Helping the world see!
Luxottica has its own charitable foundation called OneSight, providing free eyecare and eyewear to people in need both in our region and across the world. The foundation has been operating for over 20 years and has helped over 7 million people so far, see for free.
OneSight connects our greatest global strengths to help the world see – our people and our passion. The foundation provides the opportunity for Luxottica employees from every part of the organisation to make a difference by volunteering their time and their skills. Offering your expertise to communities and people where it’s needed most, is an important part of why people want to work here – from optometry, dispensing and more admin/assisting roles, through OneSight, we offer the chance to give back to communities less fortunate than ours.
OneSight volunteers travel to developing countries around the world to hand-deliver free eyecare and recycled eyewear through organised clinics.
OneSight volunteers provide free eyecare and new eyewear to people in need in their own country through organised clinics, in regional and remote areas.
OneSight partners with other charities such as The Salvation Army in Australia, to provide free eyewear to underprivileged people through in-store programs led by our retail optical brands.
Our people have the opportunity to apply to attend one of the local or overseas OneSight clinics in places such as Thailand, South Africa, and Cambodia to name a few. How cool is that! Their expertise can help communities and people in developing countries, as well as our own, have access to basic eyecare.
OneSight needs 2 million pairs of recycled glasses for their global clinics each year. You can help by collecting pre-loved prescription eyewear from family and friends and your local community. Glasses can be dropped off at any of our Luxottica stores for recycling.
You can help us by fundraising or making a tax-deductible donation. Funds raised go toward the cost of running our local clinics. This can be easily done through www.everydayhero.com.au
