An Employer of Choice for Women

Luxottica was awarded a prestigious 2009 EOWA Employer of Choice for Women citation in March as recognition of their outstanding practices in creating supportive and fair working environments for women.

The list is published each year by the federal government’s Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA), and puts Luxottica amongst the country’s best in their commitment to providing a diverse, flexible and supportive work environment that enables and empowers female employees to pursue professional development and career goals.

The EOCFW citation is awarded to organisations with demonstrated policies and practices that support women across the organisation providing positive outcomes for both the female employee and the business.

Group General Manager for Human Resources, Rhonda Brighton, said she was thrilled with the EOWA’s recognition.
“This is not only the right thing to do by our employees, but it is the best thing for our business as it helps us attract and keep some of the most talented people on our team,” Ms Brighton said.

“It is very pleasing to be recognised now as a leader among our peers across other industries in Australia.
